Isabelle drove to school for exams yesterday.

She say she got lost.. Again.. LOL

And we went to Vivo by isabelle's car.

10.. BUT only 8 were present that afternoon..

So yep.. 8 full sized adults in a 5 seater car.. Lucky we were all girls.

We should have been in the book of records already!
The orientation and the way we sat in the car was damm weird..

Advice: never ever try 8 ppl in a 5 seater car.. We made it to vivo because vivo was near.. if not we would have died. AND u need a experienced driver for 8 girls to be in a 5 seater car. Not for the weak hearted ppl..

First announcement: Congrats to NYCO for getting gold with honours for SYF. :) COOL

Haaa. It sort of made our gold for SYF turned like nothing. LOL.. emptiness.
But i still feel really happy for them. WOOTS!

Today i went Cityhall with my uni friends for lunch. And we ate long john. ermm, abit out~ since we were at city hall already, but luckily it was affordable.
We actually wanted to eat chicken rice. BUT TOO MANY PPL!

I had to left my friends early because i had driving. HA... I think i have good timing, I SAW CHERYL AND LYDIA! i was going to the escalator, den walked very near to cheryl, den i was like hmmm, this girl's hair looks like cheryl's (not that i dont recognise cheryl, but i was so near, juz behind her, i had to make sure). Den i looked beside her and saw Lydia, and i was like IT IS CHERYL, (in my mind), haa.. den i tap her bag. LOL.. Had a short chat with them and they say they were going for the foot spa, where the little fishys "kiss" ur feet. HEE... sounds interesting!

This term's timetable is abit more complicated than the last 2 terms. Having a hard time trying to remember what is my tutorial time.
And most of my clique people are in the same tutorial class, except 2 other friends, because they did an internal transfer. From BBUS to BCOM.
I really enjoy the fact that everyone is in the same tutorial class. But that also meant another thing... That ppl would be talking more than listening in class. Which is like ermmm. BAD?

This week is still considered light, well it's the start, like a warm up before the 2.4KM run. Lecturers are telling us that Business Finance and Finance is not easy. And reminds us that we must study hard for it. Subjects for this term generally is not to my liking, especially subjects like HRM and Marketing, super theory based. Which means loads of memorisation during exams. Not to mention Finance as well. Heavy on the theory. EEEEkkkks.

This term is indeed a more difficult term to complete. But i will try my BEST.

Books on the other hand. Hmm, very expensive. And i have to buy another calculator. Financial Consultant Calculator!!!!
It's more expensive than our Scientific calculator, but less expensive than a GC. Phew, if it is a price of another GC, PLS KILL ME.
Luckily, my dear friend managed to get our calculator at $38! SWEEET!
It cost $50 in popular, and after discount $45. AND WE GOT IT AT $38.
At times like this, every dollar counts. Especially during the economy downturn.

And some of my clique went praying at the temple near Bugis today.
Which is quite a nice feeling. :)
I donated some "tian you qian"
And we went off with the rest of the clique to shop at bugis.
TIRED.

My legs were aching after the shopping.
Went home early 4 plus and reached home at 5plus.
No more shopping for me. LOL
I want to buy so so many things, but thanks to the fact that i don't have much $$ to spend, haaaa.. I managed to buy something that only costs $1.50
Discipline.

There's more driving tmr. Gotta catch some sleep. BLEH

I saw this post on my friend's blog. Was posted long ago, but i really liked the story, so i wanted to share it.

Science and God
'Let me explain the problem science has with Jesus Christ.' The atheist professor of philosophy pauses before his class and then asks one of his new students to stand.
'You're a Christian, aren't you, son?'
'Yes sir,' the student says.
'So you believe in God?'
'Absolutely.'
'Is God good?'
'Sure! God's good.'
'Is God all-powerful? Can God do anything?'
'Yes.'
'Are you good or evil?'
'The Bible says I'm evil.'
The professor grins knowingly. 'Aha! The Bible!' He considers for a
moment.
'Here's one for you. Let's say there's a sick person over here and you
can cure him. You can do it. Would you help him? Would you try?'
'Yes sir, I would.'
'So you're good...!'
'I wouldn't say that.'
'But why not say that? You'd help a sick and maimed person if
you could. Most of us would if we could. But God doesn't.'
The student does not answer, so the professor continues. 'He
doesn't, does he? My brother was a Christian who died of cancer, even though he prayed to Jesus to heal him How is this Jesus good? Hmmm? Can you answer that one?'
The student remains silent.
'No, you can't, can you?' the professor says. He takes a sip of
water from a glass on his desk to give the student time to relax.
'Let's start again, young fella Is God good?'
'Er...yes,' the student says.
'Is Satan good?'
The student doesn't hesitate on this one. 'No.'
'Then where does Satan come from?'
The student : 'From...God...'
'That's right. God made Satan, didn't he? Tell me, son. Is there
evil in this world?'
'Yes, sir.'
'Evil's everywhere, isn't it? And God did make everything,
correct?'
'Yes.'
'So who created evil?' The professor continued, 'If God created
everything, then God created evil, since evil exists, and according to
the principle that our works define who we are, then God is evil.'
Without allowing the student to answer, the professor continues:
'Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible
things, do they exist in this world?'
The student: 'Yes.'
'So who created them?'
The student does not answer again, so the professor repeats his
question. 'Who created them? There is still no answer. Suddenly the
lecturer breaks away to pace in front of the classroom. The class is
mesmerized.
'Tell me,' he continues onto another student. 'Do you believe in
Jesus Christ, son?'
The student's voice is confident: 'Yes, professor, I do.'
The old man stops pacing. 'Science says you have five senses you
use to identify and observe the world around you. Have you ever seen Jesus?'
'No sir. I've never seen Him'
'Then tell us if you've ever heard your Jesus?'
'No, sir, I have not.'
'Have you ever actually felt your Jesus, tasted your Jesus or
smelt your Jesus? Have you ever had any sensory perception of Jesus
Christ, or God for that matter?'
'No, sir, I'm afraid I haven't.'
'Yet you still believe in him?'
'Yes.'
'According to the rules of empirical, testable, demonstrable
protocol, science says your God doesn't exist. What do you say to that, son?'
'Nothing,' the student replies. 'I only have my faith.'
'Yes, faith,' the professor repeats. 'And that is the problem
science has with God. There is no evidence, only faith.'
The student stands quietly for a moment, before asking a
question of his own. 'Professor, is there such thing as heat?'
'Yes,' the professor replies. 'There's heat.'
'And is there such a thing as cold?'
'Yes, son, there's cold too.'
'No sir, there isn't.'
The professor turns to face the student, obviously interested.
The room suddenly becomes very quiet. The student begins to explain.
'You can have lots of heat, even more heat, super-heat,
mega-heat, unlimited heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat, but we
don't have anything called 'cold'. We can hit up to 458 degrees below
zero, which is no heat, but we can't go any further after that. There is
no such thing as cold; otherwise we would be able to go colder than the lowest -458 degrees. Every body or object is susceptible to study when it has or transmits energy, and heat is what makes a body or matter have or transmit energy. Absolute zero (-458 F) is the total absence of heat.
You see, sir, cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of
heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat we can measure in thermal units
because heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the
absence of it.'
Silence across the room. A pen drops somewhere in the classroom,
sounding like a hammer.
'What about darkness, professor. Is there such a thing as
darkness?'
'Yes,' the professor replies without hesitation. 'What is night
if it isn't darkness?'
'You're wrong again, sir. Darkness is not something; it is the
absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright
light, flashing light, but if you have no light constantly you have
Nothing and it's called darkness, isn't it? That's the meaning we use to
define the word. In reality, darkness isn't. If it were, you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn't you?'
The professor begins to smile at the student in front of him.
This will be a good semester. 'So what point are you making, young man?'
'Yes, professor. My point is, your philosophical premise is
flawed to start with, and so your conclusion must also be flawed.'
The professor's face cannot hide his surprise this time.
'Flawed? Can you explain how?'
'You are working on the premise of duality,' the student
explains. 'You argue that there is life and then there's death; a good
God and a bad God. You are viewing the concept of God as something
finite, something we can measure. Sir, science can't even explain a
thought. It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much
less fully understood either one. To view death as the opposite of life
is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive
thing. Death is not the opposite of life, just the absence of it.'
'Now tell me, professor. Do you teach your students that they
evolved from a monkey?'
'If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, young
man, yes, of course I do'
'Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?'
The professor begins to shake his head, still smiling, as he
realizes where the argument is going. A very good semester, indeed.
'Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work
and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavor, are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you now not a scientist, but a
preacher?'
The class is in uproar. The student remains silent until the
Commotion has subsided.
'To continue the point you were making earlier to the other
student, let me give you an example of what I mean.'
The student looks around the room. 'Is there anyone in the class
who has ever seen the professor's brain?' The class breaks out into
laughter.
'Is there anyone here who has ever heard the professor's brain,
felt the professor's brain, touched or smelled the professor's brain? No one appears to have done so. So, according to the established rules of empirical, stable, demonstrable protocol, science says that you have no brain, with all due respect, sir. So if science says you have no brain, how can we trust your lectures, sir?'
Now the room is silent. The professor just stares at the
student, his face unreadable.
Finally, after what seems an eternity, the old man answers. 'I
guess you'll have to take them on faith.'
'Now, you accept that there is faith, and, in fact, faith exists
with life,' the student continues. 'Now, sir, is there such a thing as
evil?'
Now uncertain, the professor responds, 'Of course, there is. We
see it everyday. It is in the daily example of man's inhumanity to man. It is in the multitude of crime and violence everywhere in the world. These manifestations are nothing else but evil.'
To this the student replied, 'Evil does not exist sir, or at
least it does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God.
It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe the absence of God.
God did not create evil. Evil is the result of what happens when
man does not have God's love present in his heart. It's like the cold
that comes when there is no heat or the darkness that comes when there is no light.'
The professor sat down.

I really dun like exams and the idea of sitting in the exam hall for 2-3 hours for that paper.

And i have no idea how to study EBUS... ermm, i'm never talented in those computer systems and network thingys~

AND LAW.. so many cases to look through. My head is super heavy...
Acc/s, i think accountings is do`able. Marketing... alot of memo and examples!

Today lectures on law...

And at my break today i went to meet chanel at CLementi MRT station to get GC from her. it's been sometime since we met.

After meeting for a short while, i'll say less than 5 minutes, it was time for me to go back for the tutorial. She was saying tt she's really bz. Well, i can understand tt.

And i saw Lydia on the train on my way back for tutorial! WOOOTS
Fate really can bring ppl together @ times tt we dun expect. Talked to lydia for a while b4 she had to alight @ her station.
Man, for a moment it felt so 35-ish.

Really miss all of my jc mates.
No school tmr, LUCKY. But tmr is driving lesson #2.
i'm noobb at driving. MOaNs!

It's beeen so so long since i've blogged.
well, lately there's really nothing much happening and blogging now seems like more of a chore.

School started fine and i think more graded assignments would be in our way.
New tutorial groupings and new classmates. But i prefer sticking to the previous classmates.

This term is gonna be difficult with all the business law and the marketing modules.
Business law is difficult because of the weird terms, wad doctrine of reception, terra nullius and ratio decidendi.... okay many of which i cant even commit to memory. and the law book words are soos ooo tinyy.

Marketing so far still okay, i think. Accouting is going pretty well too, for now. Leart driving last friday. And feeling soo noob about it.
Clutch, change year, release clutch slowly, hold for a while and release completly, step on accelerator. confusing~

And i got car number 35, haaa... is it meant to be?

AND I WANT TO THANK BUDDHA FOR GIVING ME SUCH LONG LEGS! Well, i have no problem stepping on the clutch and releasing it slowly. And it's well within my reach. cuz my leg is still slightly bending when i step in the clutch completely. HEES, lucky me.

Instructor says that i will have leg pain after my stepping on the clutch, but i think this does not apply to me. HAAs

Exams ended.
Had steamboat n hotplate buffet with my friends yesterday.
I'm the only one who seem to eat alot.
HA... i'm too hungry.
Everyone stopped and i'm the only one still eating.
they eat so little la... i'm like:"huh, u all full already ah?"
and in buffet we had icecream, we made the icecream ourself using a super cold plate.
CHocolate was nice.
peppermint taste colgate.
green tea was shampoo-ish
cappacinno was good.
passion fruit was nice but abit sweet.
durian- i dint eat but my friend say it tasted fake.
LOll there were some other flavours but din manage to try.

The buffet was quite nice, either tt or i'm juz plain hungry. I like their tako ball!
Fried and soft inside. NICE! their sushi waas abit hard so... abit dissappointed.
But overall was good! and i paid only $22 bucks
was there the whole afternooon la.

I wanna go for another buffet!!!! :)

10 dec going genting, who needs mi to buy stuff for them? let me know..

Yesterday we went to celebrate ivan's birthday!
It's so funn! it's been a long time since we gathered.
Aww mans, i miss them!
We had a great lunch, although mog and ivan were complaining tt the fish n chips was erm, not tt good, wad pacific pallock.. the texture of the fish was juz not suitable for fish and chips.
either tt or we dunno how to appreciate it.

we ended the lunch with a slice of icecream cake for ivan and a loud birthday song.
everyone in the restaurant went slient when we sang the bdae song soo loud..
embarrassing.
But HEY we're still young and can onli afford to do that while we are.
HAHA!
it was a nice lunch cum bdae celebration!
Never felt so high for a long time...

today's so tiring and draining after that four hours of project... DRY~~~
And while we're busy doing out project, the ppl right behind our table were doing productions..
@ coffee bean, tt place is crammed up and yet they are fliming their productions there...
MY GOD..
THeir lighting is so glaring and gave most of my group ppl headaches.
This juz goes to show tt, being a celebrity is not so easy...
me and my friends were trying so hard to think of how to write our report and carry out our hypothesis... but it seems that the produciton's lightbulb was so so so much brighter than our 'lightbulb' (ideas)
it's so true, tt whenever they switched on the light, BIG BIG lights, our lightbulbs faded away... which was not to our advantage.
But we managed to be more productive at the end of the few hours, when the production is almost ending.
which was quite a relieve.
And most of my group members managed to be calefare..
Although we're not really paid calefares,
we were the backgroud, and the director even say that we're good backgrounds.
Hilarious!
And he even said tt this show was suppose to be going to the cafe at different days. But it seems that the '(same ppl)- us' were there everytime when they went to the cafe.
and wearing the same clothes! loll...

The IRHR essay results were out yesterday @ 4 plus.
It was deemed to be the 'moderated' results.
But in this case, the cohort din't do well after the 'moderation' either.
cohort's avg mark: 4.7/10

Welll... Today's STAT's presentation was ok i guess, but i guess we gotta put in a little more effort.
We've gotta changed all our hypotheses. Well, all groups had to anyway, so it wasn't such a big deal.
And was a little irritated @ the Q&A session, but all went well i guess...

Went to see my lecturer about the essay with cherie today.
I really can't bare to look into his eyes... those blue iris, my god.
And his eyes are relatively big, not like mine.. so small...
they look really nice, only that i need more time to get used to it.
Especially when talking upclose, his eyes stand out a lot... abit scary
not like during lectures, he stands a distance away from us.
Now tt it's super near, WOw... Blue!
while remembering that's not colour contacts... Loll

Last night went to bugis to have dinner with mog and Sp..
I was late...
As expected SP called me to hurry, said that he's hungry la...

Went to dine @ fei cui..
I ate the zha jiang mian, mog ate suan la mian and sp ate dan dan mian..
mog kept saying dan dan, dan dan... which's quite funny..
and we also ordered some other side dish, which i can't rmb the name...

The bowl of mian was so BIG.
Eat until i want to BAO ZHA.
Although mog mog no money, she still come out to eat with me.

It's been some time since i met up with them..

The movie was quite nice, funny~

ivan passed me a 'dizi' he bought from taiwan. he says dunno whether can blow and looks more of a decorative item.

Nothing's fair in life.

Cuz i have no money, I can't really learn a lot of things which i wanted.
-music lessons $$
-music instrument $$$$ (it's so ex tt i dun even wanna think about it)

i ever requested ice skating lessons, together with my sis. BUT.... $$$$ super ex.
i give up.

I really hate the money minded world.
Because many times these things can be done without in life.

Today's the first day of school for many i believe.
Although there's nervousness but i think it's more of excitement!

Unlike the first day of primary school, you wanted mummy or daddy or even ur granny to be by ur side, hugging their legs and seemed loath to let go. And you'll be in uniform. The smell of the new uniform, the strange new environment. The people you called teachers who you're afraid of. And the new kids in class, maybe you spotted a few who used to be in the same kindergarten

Unlike the first day of secondary school, you wished that you'll be spotting some of ur primary school friends. And you'll be in uniform. Similarly, it's the new smell of uniform. The new environment. But the teachers no longer look so scary. The disciplinary master may look sort of intimidating. So u put on ur best behaviour.

Unlike the first day of JC, you hope to see your pri and sec school friends some where. And you'll be in uniform. Ur sec school uniform this time. So many different sec sch uniform. The colourful hall. For once, you may not feel that u fit in, as everyone is in different uniform. The new environment. Some very hyper enthu people will welcome you, of course, it's orientation day too.

The first day of Uni, you know you'll spot someone. And get to meet guys that were never in the same class with you. This time you're not in uniform. Your clothes reflects whether u're fashionable. You may get abit lost, cause the previous schools were never that big. But this time you know, you meet someone familiar in the campus so u're not afraid. This is the final destination. This is it.

Mixed feelings @ last jap lesson

Haa... so nervous cuz there's written and listening test.
abit sad because i really looked forward to jap lessons.
After the test was like shocked when sensei swing open to door and say okay can go home...
when it's only like 11am. and we usually end at 12pm.
i made a card for sensei the previous night so tt everyone can sign in. it's a thank u card =) super happy
and cherie said the card was nice... felt so appreciated!
sensei recieved our card and said "xie xie ni men", which made me feel like LOL...
we asked if sensei was married he told us he's married to a jap and have a child 5 years old...
And he made a comment asking were we disappointed after he said tt he's married and has a child...
Haa.... so lame!
I really want to laugh my lungs out!

Well, I muz say i really enjoy myself today...
except saying my goodbyes.

Went out with veron today!! Geez, it's been like ages since i've seen her... I mean LOONGG!
So happy tt she came out for lunch with me... I know she's busy but she still took the time to meet me up... Gan Dong
And GUESS WAD?? I GOT MY CO SHIRT TODAY! Thanks to veron!
And theres a fagrant 'perfume' on it too!
Me and veron spent like hours talking @ mos... updating...
Of course so many things happened since we last met...
Haa...

After meeting veron den went to meet mj and mog...
We chatted like quite a while, while finishing our bubble tea @ far east.
Well, we talked about the memories we had in NY.
the people.
the place.
the laughter.
It was a joyful moment.

Yes many times a place seems great and tt's because of the ppl around you.
If i were to go back to NYJC or NYCO now, it'll be different.
Even if it's the same place, everything remains.
But without ur friends, one would feel loney.

A place will never be the same without friends.
